My Story
For many years I have struggled with my weight. Whether it was my pure laziness, depression, or the inability to walk out the door because I did not want to accept change, it didn’t matter – I was fat, borderline obese. It was time for a change.
Getting engaged and starting a family spurred this desire to finally make a difference in my body, to feel healthier, happier and – let’s say it – sexier in my own skin. It would not be fair to my children after all if I couldn’t keep up with them to the park, at the cabin, or just running around the house like a gaggle of loonies.
I gave birth to our second son on October 14th and dropped an amazing 20 pounds because of it. That was the edge I needed to see to truly get this whole losing weight business underway. With breastfeeding, chasing after a rambunctious toddler, and hefting around an eating/sleeping/pooping machine losing weight should honestly be no problem.
I’m hoping to hit 120 pounds by July 20th of next year to fit into a much better looking wedding dress. Looking nice for a wedding is also pretty important, haha!
My Goals For This Year:
Cut drastically back on caffeinated beverages, oily or fatty foods, salty/sugary snacks, and spend more time researching and cooking healthier, homemade meals.
