To prevent health disorders caused at Christmas by the excess of food and drink, the Center's research INFIT (phototherapy) and the Spanish society of nutrition and Food Sciences (SEDCA) recommended controlling the quantities of rations, increase water intake during meals, exercise on a daily basis, limit consumption of sweets, fats , salt and alcohol, and help of pharmaceutical products from medicinal plants such as artichoke or the thistle, which contribute to decrease the negative effects of excess.

And it is that according to a report carried out by INFIT and SEDCA, 38% of Spaniards performs two to three meals with family and friends during the holidays, and 16% of them outside the home, where it is harder to control the excesses. Furthermore, 22% of respondents makes more than six meals of this type during these days of celebrations.

But everything passes bill and health disorders can lead to excesses accumulated during the Christmas holidays, warns Dr. Pilar Riobó, specialist in Endocrinology and nutrition. "The main problem is the length of the excesses. During 20 days there are a lot of hearty meals, which are usually accompanied by a high intake of alcohol. Calories, fat, salt and alcohol are taken in large quantities", indicates. In addition, this specialist highlights that alcohol is fattening much. "It is the most caloric nutrient after fats, beats to proteins and carbohydrates, it adds.

Anyway, the doctor Riobó ensures that you can enjoy parties 'around the table', to remember what you need to eat and drink 'sensibly'.
So this expert advises against making known as digestive liqueurs after meals: "They have a high amount of alcohol, which accumulates to the ingested during the meal, irritate the esophagus, increase calories and forcing the liver to perform a strain," adds. Therefore stresses, it is highly recommended to compensate excess with some kind of exercise, like walking or even dancing.and Much More http://www.cureinnature.com/topics/weight-loss/
