Weight loss is supposed to be a journey towards discovering a new way of living. You will lose weight by developing techniques to help you control your eating. By implementing a non-diet approach to weight loss, you can begin to develop a healthy relationship with food. You can take on each new lifestyle at your own pace. You also go through a series of emotional growths which can help you to discover the person you are inside. You will learn how to love life and take risks that you were once afraid to do. Weight loss is about making changes in your life that will last a lifetime.

If you do not enjoy the changes that are being made, you will most likely not be able to maintain them. Let's take this for example. You are a big pasta eater. You enjoy all types of pasta and eat it on a regular basis. You decide to go on a low carbohydrate diet which eliminates your ability to eat the pasta that you love. Would you be able to enjoy this type of diet? Will it be an easy transition? The answer to both is no. Going on a diet which does not allow you to eat the foods that you love will not be enjoyable and will be extremely difficult to maintain.

When you are able to embrace and enjoy the changes that a weight loss program provides, you will be more likely to maintain weight loss. The changes in your life will become second nature. I am sure that you would like to maintain your weight loss. It is possible! It starts with making changes that you can enjoy and make a part of your new lifestyle.
